STANDARD:

HL7 CDA

VERSION:

1.0

DATE:

2018-03-15

DEFINITION:

The Laboratory result transaction aims to transfer the results of examinations performed by the following medical specialties: laboratory, anatomopathology, genetics, bacteriology, molecular biology and toxicology.

Please note in there will be an evolution to a laboratory result message specification in HL7 FHIR. A first publication of the specification is foreseen for the end of 2020,  to be found via the pages describing our FHIR strategy. That specification will deprecate the specification as described on this page. If you have any specific questions about this, please contact message-structure@ehealth.fgov.be.

IMPORTANT:

Note, the CD-TRANSACTION code will stay the same as before: 'labresult'

The pilotphase of this new format, with XML examples and a XSLT viewer can already be downloaded, currently this is version 1.6 of the document.

IMPORTANT REMARKS ON THE CURRENT VERSION 1.6:

  • As practical testing is foreseen in 2018-2020, this version might of course receive some tweaking.
  • The XSLT file included is for testing/debugging purposes only and as such we left many technical labels in the visualisation.

An alternative XSLT that presents a visualisation more friendly to clinical endusers (e.g. a GP that receives a report) - an effort by UZ Leuven - is also available.

A Gazelle environment has been set-up where you can upload a XML to test your document against these specifications. Please note the Gazelle environment is public and for testing purposes only.

Also available are scenarios for the POC.

If you have any specific questions about this, please contact message-structure@ehealth.fgov.be.

Also note that new structure will strongly emphasize the use of ReTaM codes as defined on the ReTaM website and as ReTaM extract available.
